AIA National has written a mission statement for all COTE committees. Locally, we strive to advance, involve, and educate the building community and the public on best design practices and their effects on the environment. Our goal as a group is to do this through the following:

• Organize to affect local public policy, stressing the importance of high-efficient buildings, responsible use of resources, and responsiveness to regional environmental and building issues

• Produce educational and informative materials that assist in decision making of policy, design, and lifestyle choices

• Hold local events for education and discussion revolving around sustainable design and practice

• Engage architects in issues relating to environmental preservation and provide a resource to encourage environmentally sound design and planning.

Please join us for our monthly meetings at noon on the first Tuesday of each month at the Center for Architecture. Check out our Facebook page for more information!
